7th Annual Park West Golf Cart Parade

Supporting our Park West based combat veterans agency, Operation Vet Fit.

Operation Vet-Fit's mission is to assist our nation's combat veterans, active duty members and affected family members through advocacy, mental health services, fitness, and camaraderie based motivational activities and events. Now celebrating over 13 years as the only combat veterans mental health agency in America without a single veteran suicide.

* Prizes only available for registered carts who made a minimum $20 donation at time of registration.*

Prizes and gifts to be provided by our Park West Master Association in coordination with CAMS, our Park West Property Management Company as well as our supportive community businesses.

Get your golf carts all AMERICANED out! This event is in celebration of our nations INDEPENDENCE and FREEDOM while also supporitng the fight to end veteran suicide.

Prizes for registered carts that made a $20 or greater donation at time of registration will be awarded for the top three golf carts according to the following matrix:

Scoring Categories: - This year we will have a judges stand as you enter the parade line-up at Masonborough Park. All registered carts will be handed a number as you drive-in to line up. They will be scoring all registered carts so please be sure to register yours to be eligible to win.

Originality - The ability to think independently and creatively; the quality of being novel or unusual. Scoring 1-5 points, 5 points being the best.

Creativity - The use of the imagination or original ideas, especially in the production of an artistic work. Scoring 1-5 points, 5 points being the best.

Patriotism - the quality of being patriotic; devotion to and vigorous support for one's country. Scoring 1-5 points, 5 points being the best.

Participants - Will be scored on Originality, Creativity and Patriotism. Scoring 1-5 points, 5 points being the best.

So get your Red, White and Blue on and represent that Star Spangled Banner that still waves today "over the land of the free and the home of the brave"

Don’t have a golf cart? Don’t worry. “Patriotize” your bicycle with some red, white and blue and join us. However, please be sure you are not riding your bike around in the start/finish area for safety.

Prize amounts will be based on the support we receive from the Park West Master and registrant donations.

Parade Route:

A 5.42 MILE ROUTE STARTING AND FINISHING AT MASONBOROUGH PARK

Aproximate TIMELINE:

8:30-9:30am - All Registered golf carts line up inside Masonborough Park before heading out onto parade route. (see blue line in 1st map below) As you pull in, our volunteers will check you in and place a number on your cart windshield. This is how the judges will know your cart. Judging starts as you enter the park and as you return :) NOTE: Only carts that have made the $20 cart donation will be eligible for prizes.
9:30am - Route (see blue line on map below) Starting from Masonborough Park, taking a right onto Beckenham Dr. Continuing to take a left onto West Canning Drive. Then taking a right onto Grey Marsh Rd. Right into Hall Point Rd. Left onto Wellstead St. Left onto Ashburton Way. Right onto Grey Marsh Rd. Left entering Coatbridge Rd. Left into the 2nd Toomer Kiln Cir (Triangle) following around the triangle woods. Right back onto Coatbridge Road .Then taking a right back onto Grey Marsh, (see red line on map below) Taking a right into the villages (Yellow Line on map below) on Alan Brooke Drive, left onto Beaconsfield, Left on to Hubbell Dr, Left onto Barkla Ave, Right back onto Alan Brooke Dr, then turning right returning into Masonborough Park.
10:30am - Ending at Masonborough Park where carts will fall in line inside the park lot.

• 10:30-11:00 Prizes will be awarded for the Most Patriotic Cart and other categories (pending donation of prize items from local businesses) Prizes will be awarded only to those who have made the $20 cart donation at time of registration.

Start & Finish Assembly Area - Please pull carts all the way around the circle, forming several lines as the carts fill in. We’ve had as many as 87 carts prior.

Blue line represents the outgoing route (3.94 miles) Red line represents return route (.89 miles) Yellow Line is the add on into Villages (.59 miles) Total route distance = 5.42 miles.
