Charleston National Golf CLub - 1360 National Drive, Mount Pleasant, SC 29466

Friday, Feb 7 - Shotgun Start 12:00pm

Registration 11:00-11:45am

“Stopping veteran suicide requires more than tiktoks, social media posts, likes, memes or shares. It involves evidence based, professional and licensed, clinical mental health therapy, camaraderie based events and advocacy. While we rely on an all volunteer board of directors, everything else has a cost. Help us cross the line to $20K so we can continue to succeed in our mission of zero suicides.” - Dan Gaita, Founder

Operation Vet Fit is the only veterans mental health agency in the nation to not have suffered a single veteran suicide since its founding in 2012. Thirteen years - Zero Suicides. This is who we are, this is what we do.

Event Testimonials

“I just wanted to let you know that the tournament yesterday at Charleston National was one of the most fun times golfing I ever had. The other Marines on my team were fantastic. Thank you for such a great time. Felt good to spend time with Marine brothers. Looking forward to next year.” -John Hills (USMC 1971-1977)

“I just wanted to say, “Thank You” for putting on that Vet Fit Golf Tournament yesterday. I thought it was great fun and a great success. I am retired AF and still working with the AF as a Civil Servant. The suicide rates in the AF and across the military are still way to high! Mental health remains a negative stigma in the military. I think it is changing, but still has room to improve. Operation Vet fit is doing great work to change that stigma.   - Luke Howard (US Air Force 1980-2000)

“This is one of my favorite events of the year.  The work that is being done to support the men and women that serve this great country is amazing. Look forward to next year. Thanks again for all of your hard work” - Greg Heard (COO Main Ocean Logistics)

“Thanks for all you do to help our veterans. Reducing the number of veteran suicides is a noble cause that speaks to the concept of "No man left behind." I am proud and humbled to participate in this special golf event.” - Harold Hill - PGA HOPE Carolinas Ambassador (US Coast Gaurd, Retired)

“THANK YOU! For yet another amazing event. You and your Team once again assembled and executed a flawless fun fill event, we done!” - Stanley Walker (US Air Force 1979-2009)

“Thanks to all your organizers, sponsors, and volunteers who helped make us all feel welcome. Golf also helps me to get out of my head. And being with fellow brothers in arms returns me to simpler times. Mahalo Nui Loa, Fa’a Fetai Lava!” - Marvin Artero (US Army 1984-1987)

I would just say there is one misperception of our veterans, and that is they are somehow damaged goods. I don’t buy it and I think that that kind of self-pity while victimhood in America is exalted; I don’t think our veterans should join those ranks (General James Mattis, 2017).
